We know that testing starts some time within June. I wouldn't be suprised if they're testing for low population balancing. I've played many games where a certain weapon, vehicle, or tactic wasn't balanced when populations shifted.

Okay someone help me out if they know about this. I posted a thread earlier about this issue but I didn't receive much of an answer. The situation has changed a bit though...

Planetside 1 RESERVE player (OCT 2006)
Joined several RESERVE programs
Received free 45 days due to the SOE hacking crisis
Entitled to PS1 base game and core combat listed on SOE site.
Received beta key from twitter recently and got in.

My question is, will I still be flagged as a PS1 vet, regardless of the beta key from twitter or not?

you should be ok your vet status overrides the other keys you just wasted it is all >.<

Yeah, there's an SOE-MOD-4 logged in, not much of a point to have those on without people posting now is there?

Pity, was hoping to get in on the first wave, but eh I don't feel like helping them test 20vs20 combat :P

Though it is entirely possible they're just having people test the board to make sure it's functional for outside users. Would be kind of silly to have an NDA where they cant say they're in the beta when we can see 'em posting.

These are those sweet precious days before getting into beta... the anticipation, the mutually expressed excitement, grown men and women saying "squeeeee" when there's more information released about the game... takes me back to 202/2003... on these same forums... I've still got my old account, "Anam Nantom" in forum history, doing the same for PS 1...

Just thinking about how I would send out the beta keys to those not specifically invited to the beta. %50 vet, based on time spent subscribed, %50 random from everyone not chosen already and in the first tier access (vets, beta keys, etc.)

Do you think there will be a method to the madness or it will just be completely random?
