NC Music sound like an 80s tv soundtrack

The Terran orchestral soundtrack is fairly epic.
The Vanu technoish soundscapes is passable.
The NC twangy, digital-rock music is just plain horrendous.

Specifically, they all sound like 80s tv show themes Not that there's anything wrong with it per se, but it's hardly a combat soundtrack. The percussion nor the guitar lead/rhythm section is hardly aggressive. It's a cornucopia of 80s sound meets Walker Texas Ranger.

Please post an example of a better NC musical direction, and hopefully the Devs see this....

Higby has already stated that this synth sound is just place holders - It will be fully orchestrated later, and will sound a lot better at a later date.

I think the NC music is awesome.

The main theme is almost exactly the same as it was in the original.

It will sound bad ass with real instruments.

I like it, don't love it yet though tbh. I'm hoping the real instruments give it that extra kick of awesome.

The twangy guitar in the NC tracks seriously reminds me of the Firefly soundtrack.

I'm sure the finished product will be much better. Canned guitar tends to be pretty cheesy.

I really like the NC music I've heard so far (still listening to it) - the Combat 1 track makes me think I'm going to need to get some aviator glasses to wear while playing :P

What bothers me more - why don't people check the existing thread suggestions in the appropriate window when they create one...

HINT: It's a synth music, not an actual guitar for NC and not an actual orchestra for TR.
