But although I think BFRs were cool and stuff, they simply cannot be re-implemented due to their history. People will rage too much.

Shepard for VS? Weak. Adjudicator would be way better.

The Apocalypse would be most appropriate for the TR, and I'd say the Olympian would be most fitting for the NC. :P

I'm so sick of hearing people like you.
"WAH WAH, the first time they tried BFR's didn't work so they can never work."

They fucked up the original idea, but they fixed it. It's not some solo mass murder machine anymore, no more than a tank is.

heavy battle tanks
So you'd cry if the heavy battle tank was in the form of a mech, but you won't if it's a tracked tank?

Even if it had the same damn stats?

A "BFR" is a more powerful tank plain and simple. Whether or not its bipedal, on treads, hovering, four legs, stilts. It's just a bigger tank.

The only real argument you could make is against the inclusion of super powerful one or two man vehicles. Or you could argue that mechs don't fit in the universe. To say no BFRs is just the name really they could call them something different or whatever.

I just think the most important things is if they try it again it has to require more players to operate.

Holy shit! Someone who remembers StarSiege!

I chose the Shepherd for VS because it was the most powerful Cybrid HERC. It had the perfect mix of mobility, weapons, protection, and small profile. It just performed like a VS Vehicle. The Adjudicator may also work, but it had mobility problems and its Achilles heel was the Apocalypse, whereas a Shep is fast enough to deal with an Apoc. In skilled hands, practically the only thing that could compete with the Shepherd was the Dreadlock.

I agree with the Apocalypse being the most appropriate armament for the TR. Just can't find a really good picture of it. It's got lots of pew pew and lots of speed. The Basilisk, however, its pretty much the same deal and I have a model of it painted in TR colors already. Plus curves.

And as far as StarSiege goes, the NC having the Oly? Yeah, that works.

The Adjudicator was far and away the best herc in the game - it outperformed everything else. Amazing firepower, just as evasive (if not moreso) than the Shep, and would devastate tanks with its amazing firing arcs, and it was king on most maps. The only map it had issues on was probably City on the Edge, where you could set up fantastic crossfires and they didn't have much room to dance.

And if you mean by painted in TR colors, you mean in an RA skin. :P

i don't think we played with the same pilots
The jud was fairly uncommon. The shep was able to turn faaaaar faster than the Jud and the Shep had a really slim profile from the side. Between each other, they were evenly matched, but everything else would just bow down to the Shep (except the Dreadlock).

and by TR colors, I mean Imperial Knight's skin, in a model, on my table, right now
