The cruise missiles were probably used to soften targets and the F117's were used to drop bombs on said targets. According to CBS radio, somewhere in the range of 3 dozen cruise missiles were used.
On a related note, the US has already taken over Iraqi radio and television. Right now, the US is broadcasting on Iraqi radio. |

The MOAB err... MOFO sorry, is actually a more powerful than the old Daisy Cutters.
Also, CNN (yeah, yeah, I know) claims that this strike was a "target of opportunity". They had intel that said Saddam was at some location and they pounced on it. I sure hope they got him. With him gone his troops might be more willing to stand down. |

The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |

Yeah, the MOAB won't be used on any cities. At least I hope not...
Its more of a terror weapon. Drop it on some troops to scare the sh*t out of their buddies. As for taking out a large group of buildings, say a factory or other large complex, I don't think it you can really top a concentrated heavy bomber raid. Course Im a little partial to carpet bombing anyways. |
