The NC and TR have something the Vanu don't- Solidarity and comraderie.

The Vanu just have fashionable armour and different ( perhaps better ) technology, but they don't fight for some honourable goal. Their only trait is technology- but we all love technology- that does not mean we need to rush it.

The Vanu don't belong in this war. They're just the nuisiance that is in the way of what really matters- What the TR and NC are fighting about.

Because they are.

That was their backstory, but this is a different game with different lore. PS1 backstory no longer applies.

^Someone needs to tell him that I'm flattered to be spoken of in 2nd person.

Despite being a fictional world, all sides have 3 very distinct ideologies- which can easily be related to political struggles in the real world. Discussing such things is a lot more meaningful than playing this game- something I'm assuming you will do.

I've never understood why some people get so into the 'lore' and bashing all of the different Empires. One is red, one is purple, one is blue. To me it's all about the people who're on each Empire. My VS character had about a 60/40% split in TR/NC kills because TR had Dagda and KOTOR and I liked fighting in one against the other.

...but then I never enjoyed WoW, so I guess I'm missing the point.

In term of aesthetic I actually like the NC infantry, I'm just not a fan of the blue/yellow combo (I wish it was blue/white or black/yellow). TR is close second and I like Vanu the least and it was the same in PS1. To each its own.

Or if role-play is a dirty term to you, then pretending is fun.

VS are the best but if theirs a good thing about NC it is that they are rebels other tha that for me not much. TR are better in my book because of TB

i like the Nc and that is why i have chosen them for planetside 2 as the guys i will enter this franchise as. i like the look of their gear and the reaver is sexy imo lol

While your point is slightly valid VS are rebels as well just smarter ones. They wish to take over and persue a government in which achedemics (creativity) and technology are valued as well as persued. They fight for a govermnent of inteligent uncorrupted scholars who will lead them with their brains not guns. Actually VS are the only ones really fighting for more than just control.

The world of Auraxis has the ability to repair objects completely via nanites. Why oh why do the NC still have chipped armor and faded paint jobs then?
