Dice's counter to Planetside 2

Battlefield 2143 (NOT BATTLEFIELD 2142)

they could possibly turn this into a mmofps but I'm not sure if they will try for mass players or stick to the 64 player maximum.

Old game with old engine, and its netcode was bad, cause it was always so laggy even when i never had lag problems with other shooters.

i dont see them making a MMO out of battlefield. the only real contender PS2 will have is Titan but im sure that will take another 10 years and it probably wont be free to play.

But he's not talking about BF 2142.

2143 could be a cool new release, I doubt it'll be a main competitor to PS2 though.

2142 was a great game, it was the best of the Battlefield series.

I never had a problem with lag.

I liked it too, but i could never do the titan rushes because those killed my ping.

I really loved the hover tank and mechs.

It is pretty damn bad. It is possible PS2 would be bad as well, but at that point I don't care who the competitors are.

They won't counter PlanetSide 2.

EA and DICE is all about making rushed games for Call of Duty gamers now. I want to PlanetSide 2 because of the scale and more tactical approach. Something that DICE/EA can't offer me anymore.

2142 was the last decent Battlefield game, and the last one that could compete with PlanetSide 2.

From what i've seen so far PlanetSide 2 is going to be a king of massive FPS shooters for many years to come.

Leave 2142 alone, war isn't always about pretty colours. One of the best battlefield ever.

Do not compare battlefield to planetside, please they are two different games.

he's right tho Dice is all about console games now.. PC is just an afterthought thrown together for some extra sales and the ability to say " hey we still make PC BF"
