Depending on the ceiling in game, and the available upgrades to speed and maneuverability, even with "real physics" it should be possible, you just need enough altitude. And technically you wouldn't be able to do a pure aileron roll with a Gal, because of its design being meant to be stable. You would have to do a baileron roll (a mix between an aileron roll and a barrel roll, not exactly either of them but a combo).

While barrel rolls are cool and all, I'll be more impressed if someone performs Pugachev's Cobra in a Galaxy, while being intercepted.

Shit...I would be happy if any of the aircraft can pull off that maneuver. Incredible pitch control FTW! Maybe the scythe will be able to do it.

It's been an old dream of mine to pull that off in a game. Got the mental image from an old black and white war film where it was used to drop speed. Thanks for putting a name to it.

But yeah, a glaxy roll seems doable at a high enough altitude.
