Beta is obviously imminent. Just chill, relax and wait till theyre ready. You will get in, beta will probably last a long time so theres no need to panic about getting in. Whether its today, tommorro or next week time is irrelevent. Just stay calm and be ready.

Some people have it as active, but that still doesnt mean beta access now

It's been saying active for me for months now.

I thought it was said that the beta date was known. Even tho Higby lied, about his hair cut and beta thing, in the video the water dude said that higby made that promise because he knew when the beta was to be released. I guess it was a range than a firm date.

Higby cut his hair as tech test started, pretty much.

Given, he said beta, not tech test. Basically they are almost the same thing, but SOE itself makes a clear distinction between the two, but I suppose he cut his hair mostly due to the tech test.

I don't think he really lied, tech test did come out shortly afterwords. I think he meant to wait til the actual beta test but his wife probably made him chop the mop.

Idk y people are still herping and derping about this.

SOE has been in INTERNAL beta for a while. He cut his hair when EXTERNAL beta started. This means NON-SOE EMPLOYEES will download the game, and get in. Currently they are getting feedback from fans of the game, THAT is the milestone for them.

Im tired of seeing "Higby cut his hair and im not in the game QQ hur hurrrr..."

Most of the confusion stemmed from SOE saying that Tech Test wasn't Beta. They said this to stop too much anger from all the vets and Beta keys holders because the Beta invite system wouldn't apply yet. Technically though, it was still part of the Beta process, and Higby cut his hair.

Inconsistency always creates drama.

Ok, I can see that. But idk how people can't see the relationship between tech test/hair cut, and get over it. Put on your big boy pants people and dry the snot off your nose. The later you get in, the more polished the game will be and it'll be even a better experiance. #Lookin at the bright side

No, self-entitlement creates drama. I'm a PS1 vet and still an active one and never once cried foul because I'm not a special flower in a field of other special flowers. I'll get into beta when SoE decides to let me in. Whether first wave or not.
