Well it's a beta, so I'd rather play the buggy, unfinished version rather than some fake free-trial Beta.

It amazes me, how some little thing happens, and instantly fifteen threads pop up arguing about it, because they can't really even coordinate the tears into one thread (which already exists and is stickied at the top). Do we really need a discussion thread where everybody can bitch about the obvious? Or debate the obviousness of it?

barring you can actually play it instead of constant server crashes. They have a lot of MMO titles under their belt, I think they know when they can or can not release a beta.

If it ain't ready, it ain't ready.

Nothing worse than releasing thousands onto crash happy client software. It'd be more painful & off-putting than delaying a beta.

Phase 2 of the nerd-rage will be when the Beta does start & people aren't in the 1st batch of invites...lol.

then inactive ps1 subbers, (100k of them)
then the pcgamer/twitter/e3 keys.

unless you're an active ps1 subber then i wouldn't be wasting my time F5'ing smed's twitter

Hmmm... if they didn't want a glorified demo, then why do they need "polish" for a beta test? Isn't that what beta is for... to test and find bugs? What's more important... an "awesome" beta or an awesome game?

Did anyone play Star Wars: The Old Republic when it was released? Or Global Agenda when it was released 2 years ago? Both games were definitely not ready to be live. Bugs and lack of content riddled the games like crazy. Let SOE put work into their game.

Their game. Not yours.
