Vanu don't use lasers. They use "energy weapons", which is what you'd call a weapon that shoots something that colourful and not made out of bullets. They're the only ones who use these kinds of weapons (unless they're looted) so they are extremely distinct on the battlefield. We're not sure how strong their weapons are in comparison, but I would imagine that they're pretty powerful per-shot, given that they don't shoot a stream of bullets, but instead consecutive bolts of energy.

Per shot, the NC have the strongest weapons. But that's because their weapons are primarily shotgun-like in how they function. They fire slowly, but do a good bit of damage when they hit.

Yep. Biggest clips for their guns too, I imagine.
