I just had a heart attack when I went to /download and there was a button.

Then I realised I wasn't logged in.

Good luck getting in if you're expecting to today folks.

Anyway, will suggest something that's been suggested before and is reasonable enough advice. Stay away from the official forums till you've logged, to you, what feels like a sufficient amount of time to form a well rounded opinion of what you've experienced.

Test it without reading what's being discussed on the official forums before you wade into 'em, perhaps, or not as you feel.

Oh EDIT. Apart from, obviously, to find information on server availability on the official forums. Er...don't think that bit of rather obvious advice is shaking the NDA to its core.

My apologies if I've caused any confusion, but sure enough I've not had the email yet, but I've been able to download and install the game. My subscription information on the Sony site also shows PS2 as Active.

Well... mine is shown as "active" too. But i'm not in, i guess it's the key i got.

Then you're probably in Sprog. My email was slower to turn up than the activation on the Sony Station account info' page.

PlanetSide 2 Account : ACTIVE
Able to download: NO

Account #2...

Type: Current PS1 Subscription/Vet from 2003/2005
PlanetSide 2 Account : INACTIVE
Able to download: NO

Can those who can download the client post their info?

Type: Veteran PS1 Subscription from January 2004 to October 2007
PlanetSide 2 Account : Active
Able to download: Yup

I seem to remember Smed saying that we'd all be in today. If there are thousands of veteran subscriptions, it may take some time for them all to be flagged as active. I'd imagine they're probably staggering all the database changes they're having to make, rather than doing one giant update.

A few thousand updates to a database table should only take a couple of seconds.
