While I think the push for espots is good overall, I'm personally not a fan of reducing PS2 to a smaller 5-6 man team environment. I'm sure there will be people who will enjoy watching it and enjoy playing it, but I don't think there's much here that can set PS2 apart from other shooters. I guess it's hard to turn 2000 player battles into esports but still.

The problem is that the game isn't built for small squad competitions. All it takes is one person to use something that's a bit OP and farm everyone else. And the moment you start putting all kinds of restrictions in, you make it a joke. Think Brawl+ and how ridiculous it is that the entire game had to be modified to be fit for competition.
