I just want to ask some questions to you guys:
1. Is there any "ping/latency" drawback if you live in EU and play on US server? 2. What servers do the DEVS usually play on? (us servers? And if so one witch server are they most on?) 4. If so ... Why? 5. What is the main (us server) (like West-01 was the "Main/Biggest" one) |

1. There will be some drawbacks playing on servers that are not local to you.
Some places are use to it ie AU to USA but if the roles are reversed the USA players cant handle it. Even AU to EU in PS2 isnt that bad. 2. I always read/see the devs playing in the US West server, Metis. 4. They are based out west? 5. Metis West |

Okay, dumb question. But is U.K is under the prosebien thing?
Edit: I ask, cus I usually get fine ping on west coast servers; and although i'm guessing the official language will be English it never is. Last edited by Fanglord; 2012-10-03 at 08:26 PM. |

Definately will make a difference choosing an EU server over a US one.
My first char was created on an East Coast server (didn't scroll down and spot the EU servers), and I defiantely noticed some latency and occasional rubberbanding of enemies skipping across the screen (made sniping difficult). And I noted a definate improvement once I switched to the EU servers. As a side note, I play Firefall, where the server is US West Coast, and this does make things difficult from time to time. On a good day my ping is 250-300ms, and on a bad day it can creep to over 500, even towards 1000 (misery, in other words). |
