Come on devs, you've got to change this. It annoys the crap out of me every time. At first I thought it was a bug but it turned out to be some weird suppressor that makes the standard NC bolt action sniper look like a sissy pea shooter that fires around corners. It completely ruins the clunky, potent looking design that the NC are supposed to have.

After watching that video where the scope on that rifle gets put together, and all the intricate models and layers etc., it's weird it gets sent out with a barrel that looks like's it's made out of plastacine.

The most annoying thing isn't that though.
It's the fact that pressing G when viewing the map, no longer let's you see other conts in real time.

I never knew you could even do that

But they have the continents on the map in the upper left corner. Just click on them.

And NO its not the muzzle break - the barrel is bent because of some silly vanishing point code or something like that.

Lol. Except for this ridiculously designed muzzle brake/recoil compensator (right-click for full pic), I must give the art team a break here. I think they have done their best job with the NC faction in general in this game. Besides this gay sniper rifle, NC just seem to look more bad ass imo. (That is of course untill you start playing the other factions and find out that although TR and VS might artistically look weak compared to NC, their weapons are superior in many situations).

Sure it is but it's signaling the wrong illusion. It's just a little annoyance that's creeping up every time and could easily be solved by a tiny redesign of that muzzle brake.

That's a muzzlebrake or a compensator and it is there to reduce the horizontal/ vertical recoil. It also looks fucking awesome so stop complaining.
