I know this thread is about beating a dead horse, but does SOE have any plans at all to clean this game up? Look at the leaderboards, cheaters abound..seriously, players with racial slurs as names, names that mimic hacking files and extensions, etc., etc.

I'm sure most of you have favorite games that have been ruined by scumbag cheaters, but at least most of them tried to clean it up, even though they lost the battle, but SOE is doing two things about hacking;

Jack and shyt.

There are also players exploiting exp. That's fine and olny affects all of us because we play honorably just to see our stats way down the line because losers exploit, cheat, and glitch.

There's nothing I can say or do to change the way it is...so many idiots cheat and that sucks..why play if you can't play fair? What's the point? You cheat yourself mostly, and the honest players too, but cheating scumbags care less, and as I troll hack sites for info to protect our servers (COD, BF3) All the posts from hackers are about how the people react to their scumbag ways. It's not about winning or pwning, these little johnson's only care about hurting others.

I will tell you one thing that's undeniable fact: Karma will get you, trust me, it will...

I am old, been a former GM/admin for a couple games you might have played..I also help run a very popular pro gaming clan and have contributed to several anticheat sites...

and yes the devs do watch this and they are dumping any one with inappropriate names if reported via this method.

I've reported a handful of names with racial/sexist/deragatory slurs in them and will continue to report them as I see them.

Just because its an MMO and an FPS does not mean it has to be a cest pit of non respect. I'm also follow Smeds comments on how he will not tolerate such in game.

In my 15 hours of gameplay, I think i've only run into one or two hackers. I had one kill me today. I had dropped onto the top of the biolab, and was running around as an infiltrator. I was getting shot in a spot where no one can shoot unless they are on the top of the spire. And the guy was not. Maybe I missed him, but I call bs.

Other than that, I find the game quite free

I have seen maybe one, but the problem could just have been a bug or lag related. Warping around and completely unhittable. I find it funny you are basing the overall state of the game on leaderboards. Please tell us, how are you deducing that people are hacking from the leaderboards?

Please feel free to give specific examples, it gives you post credibility. Go on, put a bit of effort into it. If your genuine about wanting the issue fixed then enlighten us.. Instead of just telling us the sky is falling.

If you can't log in and see a glitcher/hacker within 15 mins, then nothing I can say will enlighten you.
Many veterans of FPS, or games in general, know a hack when they see it. I know how many people who get owned complain that it's hacks, but I'm talking about something different.
I was killed by an invisable HA, and my squad mates saw it as well. Unless there's a HA cloak, then please explain this to me.
I get just about the best performance you can get from this game, my 680 takes no prisoners, but people hanging in mid air, rocket pods that never run out of ammo, getting shot thru walls, well...
I see all the cheaters on the leaderboard still there and still playing, not one hacker is gone or banned.

Being top scorer in 2 days with millions of points without any kills tells you what?

Tells you that cheaters will never get banned, glitchers and exploiters will never get banned, and there is no cheat protection at all, none.

This is not a sour grapes post, cheaters are everywhere and it's nothing new or shocking, I just hate playing with them o giving them any free kills, and I would like to play one game, just one, that is clean.

I tell my clan mates that if you want to be rich, make an anticheat program that actually works, PB has been raking in millions for years and it's as useless as Norton, another company making millions for a crap product.

I will mourn this game as I have others. You never have one or two cheaters, experts estimate that in many shooters as much as 25-30% of the player base cheats or hacks, that's a fact jack.

That fact is a shame.

Cheaters will not stay with this game like BF3 and others. They like to see their names at the top of the leaderboard after a match. This game runs continuous, so no spot light. I do not look at the leaderboards. Means nothing, except to bean counters. This is what I love about this game, NO MATCH PLAY. Just great combat!

Saying that you 'know a hack when you see one' sounds to me like you blame any unexplained death on hacks which is an idiotic thing to say. Maybe times i've been killed in unexplained ways, i dont just automatically assume its hacks.

Invisible people? We've had invisible tanks, that was a BUG. I've seen similar things in beta with troops.. Why is it now a hack? because it had a negative effect on your gaming experience?
