Soe put out a bare bones game so they can start paying the bills. All the awesome fluffery will come if you and others spend some money in the cash shop.

Outfits will be able to specialize. There will be a minimum of at least a outfit decal available to buy in the cash store. Also outfits will be on a leaderboard and they will be able to fight in tourneys for the highest ranking outfits. Dont know too much else about future outfit stuff.
Well I hope that they have implemented a tracking systems for outfits that are already formed because TNGC been in since day one. And we want our BFS LOL see how I did that with the BFS instead of BFR LOL. Im sooo funny

Destructibility I can agree with, but I don't know how you'd able to hack it and there is already a flight ceiling in the game...

Yeah, for my idea of a land bound equivalent, the T.F.O.C., could be outrun by a sprinting Infantryman.

This can arguably go a little faster, but this ship's biggest weakness is going to be maneuverability.

It is, after all, a flying aircraft carrier, so it stands to reason she'd be as easy to turn as a huge boat.

Eh, honestly, if this is going to be a part of the seamless intercontinental warfare aspect of the game, then I think this ship's best counter strategy is going to be having a few of it's ilk of your own on standby.

Then again, I see these used more as mobile Forward Operation Bases then outright Assault Platforms, being well armored enough to operate just behind your front line where it's secure, but only it's seafaring brethren would be capable of charging headlong into enemy defenses in order to secure a beachhead.

So we'd have:

Huge, tank spawning land-battleships bristling with anti-vehicle guns to secure the battle-space around them but would crawl at a snails pace, physically limited where they can drive due to their sheer size, and be easily infiltrated and destroyed by a small group of Infantry.

Flying Aircraft Carriers used as mobile air superiority bases and airborne infantry drop points with an exposed propulsion system leaving it vulnerable to ground and air vehicle fire.

Heavily armored Amphibious Assault Ships that can spawn/carry all types of vehicles and can break through harden defenses, but as a boat it can only create a beachhead at a few select points on a continent's shore.

Probably something like this:

Yeah!
When Dungeons and Dragons Online put in Airships for Guilds, I was actually kind of expecting something like this, where we'd be able to fight each-other air pirate style.

Boarding operations are going to be so cool. I would make the heaviest guns very short ranged. What I want to see are two of these carriers giving each other broadsides while esf are buzzing around and la are doing boarding operations. I need need a stiff shot o whiskey.

I meant a lower one so Tanks can hit it reasonably. Fluff wise you can say its a hover vehicle not a flying one. Like a mag on steroids. Its just that the vanu can replicate the tech at a smaller level or something.

I really dont want to see a super carrier like this floating along the ground. To me that doesnt necessarily scream epic to me.

Again I should clarify, I mean something 50-100 meters higher then a biolab or tech plant (whichever is higher).

Eh, I'd rather the big guns be on the bottom...

Then again, I wouldn't risk something this valuable just to take out an enemy equivalent... especially when Galaxies and smaller aircraft could do the job just as effectively.

Well I can see where you are going with that, it does make me wonder whether or not the belly guns will suffer the same mysterious range limitation as the Liberator, where rounds vanish into thin air beyond three hundred meters.

If it does, then flying at ceiling might not be too big of a problem.

I am guessing this would be the tool for breaching into a locked continent and eventually (if the build the seemless world they want to) a way to travel over seas to other continents and act as a modern day aircraft carrier would as a deterent/attack platform.

Also I am not so concerned about it being over powered, people always find a way to deal with things and also this type of thing should take some time to take out anyway. Remember everyone no one wins this game it keeps going so why not have a 500 lb gorrilla in the room now and again to shake things up..

Some more clarification via PC Gamer:
Smedley told us via email that the behemoth remains firmly in the concept stage at this point, so it’s unclear if it flies or floats in Auraxis’ skies or waters (or both!). But this isn’t the first time additional vehicles and naval combat appeared on SOE’s drawing board. A blog entry by Smedley detailed several ideas under consideration for expanding PlanetSide 2′s content such as seamlessly linking the three continents by sea, adding water-based combat, and even throwing in a fourth, AI-controlled alien faction.

The concept looks great.

I'm just curious as to how it would work? Would it be player controlled or like a base that follows a predefined path in the water/air for players to fight over?

Hopefully we'll be able to pilot it. I've never experienced BFRs too much, so I'm more concerned about the horrendous lag this possibly could create. Do they realize what they're getting themselves and all of us into with this? Probably half or a quarter of the population would stop playing because of how much strain this thing could cause.
