Heyas Folks,
the loadout / deployment screen could really use some work to become more (read: any) convenient imo. First of all, the loadout boxes: Pull-down menus SUCK. BIG TIME. When i'm in the middle of a firefight and quickly want to switch classes i want to do it with ONE CLICK (keyboard shortcut would be even better). Currently i have to run to a terminal, fiddle with the crappy pull-down menus and hit resupply, which is on the other side of the screen. That takes away precious time and is completely unnecessary. Speaking of the actual pull-down menus: THEY ARE FRIGGIN' TINY. i have a hard time clicking that tiny button, let alone read which loadout that actually is. Last but not least: The actual deploy button. Why the heck is it on the left side of the screen but the loadout menu is on the top right? I end up having to move my mouse like a spaz from left to right and back. The "deploy" (or "respawn") window is actually better, the loadout selection is directly over the "spawn" button (as it should be). Idea to improve it: Remove the pull-down loadout menu. Have either icons for the different loadouts lined up or have them as text. But have them accessible without using ANY menus at all. Move the loadout selection as close as possible to the spawn/resupply button. And INCREASE THE SIZE. Remove all the fancy frames and maybe move the character preview to another menu too free up some space, or make that smaller too. Rule of thumb: Make resupplying / respawning as fast and convenient as possible, nothing is more annoying than having the right idea to counter an attack but not being able to pull it off due to sloppy menus. Didn't Planetside 1 have a system that worked really well in that regard? I recall being able to near-instantly switch loadouts with just one key. Which actually reminds me...can you switch loadouts with keys here? That would actually help alot. |

In case SOE reads this, i 2nd this.
It isn't that big of a deal. But it is rather annoying as a max when you need to switch from an AT to an AA and you have to click the dropdown, select the right button without miss clicking cause its so tiny, then hit resupply, ect.... |
