Elite Tactical Soldiers is a multi-game tactical realism clan founded in 2006. ETS has its roots in several games but really hit its stride during COD4 as a tactical realism community. Over the years ETS has kept the same motto and abides by it at all times: Honor, Respect, Humility.

What Look For

Above all else the primary people we look for is someone who likes to have fun and has the willingness to work as a member of a cohesive unit. Using teamwork and tactical play gives us the advantage on the battlefield and allows us to sweep over a continent, defeating our enemies with ease. You will find that we are definitely not serious all the time though -- So be prepared to joke around and actually have fun too!

With that said, here's a short list of our expectations...

Experience: This isn't really a requirement, but I wanted to put it here to clarify a point. We absolutely do not require you to be highly experienced in Planetside to play with us. We will happily accept players from the brand new to the 1000+ hour veterans. As long as you are willing to play in a tactical fashion, experience has no bearing on your potential to join the clan.

Maturity: We aren't too concerned about age. But we are absolutely concerned about maturity. The majority of our members are between the ages of 22 and 35. We tend to recruit people who are 18+ years old, but we do not discriminate against younger players as long as they are mature.

Comms: We use three forms of communication; Forums, Steam and Teamspeak. Having an account on our forums as well as on Steam is a requirement. We use our forums to disseminate information to our clan members and we use Steam for roster tracking. We use in-game VOIP for the vast majority of voice comms. Teamspeak is only required during larger operations, but we encourage people to be in the server whenever they are logged in.

Having a microphone and using it is required for both in-game VOIP and TS3. If you don't have a mic but are willing to get one ASAP, that is fine as well.

Tactical Play: In general you are expected to stick with the platoon/squad you are playing with and not to wander too far. A lone wolf player will not fit in well with our clan ideals. This doesn't mean you are expected to be in a squad and follow orders at all times -- If you feel like doing your own thing for a night, you are welcome to do so. But if you join one of our squad you will be expected to play as a teammate.


What We Provide

Every single person who has ever joined ETS will tell you that they love it here. We are friendly, respectful and skilled players. Players who have left ETS have always done so on good terms and it is usually more for a real life reason than a problem with the clan. We provide you with a community of tactical-minded gamers who enjoy actually playing games with each other.

We have a Player of the Month contest (outlined in our Planetside 2 forums) and reward our members up to 2000 SC per month for winning the POTM award! We also run Planetside 2 Ops several nights per week; Including a training night, public platoon night and outfit-only functions. We plan on adding more events to the schedule as the outfit grows, as well.

Planetside 2 is not our only game. We have several game divisions and all members are welcome to particpate in any of those games as a clan member.

We're still recruiting! If you would like to check us out before applying/joining, you can always join us on one of our public platoon nights! Those happen Thursday, Friday and Saturday night!

We are members of the VSTO outfit coalition on the SolTech server and participate in multi-outfit platoons whenever they schedule an event, as well! So we maintain the feel of a smaller (currently around 35 members) tight-knit group, while giving our members the ability to participate in much larger, organized operations.
