Yerp. I'm new to the game, and out of the FPS groove entirely. I'm getting used to living without a working left hand. I use a 360 controller modified for one-hand use so, not surprisingly, I'm not the best combatant, but I don't mind healing/repairing. As I get into this, are medics or engineers needed more?

Both have their boons. Both can also fight well (not sure if that interests you).
Engineers are great at keep people equipped by dropping ammo points (for guns, grenade launchers, rocket launchers). They can also equip carbines + under barrel grenade launcher. Quite useful for racking up the kills without needing much accuracy! They also get some great mines and can repair which is useful and great xp. Medics can heal people, revive them with the kit or a grenade. Can also heal with kit or grenade if you choose. Got C4 for boom. Also very useful especially with the current zerging that can happen at bio facilities.. You can get a nice amount of xp by rezzing a whole buncha people at once with a grenade. Keeps the fight going longer. But... PLAY BOTH! Not like there isnt enough xp to go around |
