Hello Universe,
You can now finally play PlanetSide 2 for Linux and Mac here is how... The PlayOn group is now supporting PS2..... Downloads: Download your PlayOnLinux client HERE Download your PlayOnMac client HERE Instructions: 1. Once you download your client open and go to install. 2. After your there click games. 3. Then check the box testing. 4. Finally go down in the list, find and install PlanetSide 2. (pictured above) NOTE! Please keep in mind its still in testing, is not perfected, and could use your help to submit bug reports. Also this is not the first way to play for mac users, please refer to Bootcamp. PARTY ROCK! They run ok, but there are other issues. Like inherent mouse acceleration that even with a 3rd party app doesn't seem to go away 100%. I also feel like I have just a touch of mouse lag.
I've played a few games on my laptop, through OSx and Windows boot, like CS and L4D and mostly it has to do with aiming and mouse response. They run smooth enough and sometimes the game actually runs better/ smoother more FPS on the OSx but... I'm bad enough aiming already I don't need any kind of handicap. Bootcamp. |

Not actually playing "through" bootcamp, you just have a windows PC on the Mac. I might check out your DL for Mac though and help give some feedback and bug reports. I'm interested to see how it runs. |
