Parallax. AFAICT, there's no drop out to max render range until you put a suppressor on it.

I have recently been informed that there are other sniper rifle possibilities if you prefer to get in the thick of the action instead of sniping from afar.

There are weapons that will let you two-shot enemies with two clicks from in-your face distances. There are fast-moving bolt-actions that will one-shot headshot hipfire at in-your-face distances.

As the person who told me about this said, "Best kept secret in the game."

You can generally tell if you found a sniper rifle for that purpose because it doesn't come with a pre-attached scope.

Artemis: 2-3.4x
Ghost: 3.4-4x (high rate of fire, fast reload, slow projectile)
V10: 6x (medium RoF, reload, and projectile velocity)
Parallax: 8-12x (slow RoF and reload, super fast projectile)
