The Striker is not that good. Both NC and VS faction specific rocket launcher are better.

next they will be playing TR just for the MCG and the Claymore lmaooooooooooo

flares , smoke, stealth, friendly and enemy players breaking line of site , objects breaking line of sight,<<<<<<<< this + striker = CACA. by far the worst ESR in game... heck we got the shaft on all our ES gear. claymores= CACA,mcg = CACA ,striker= CACA.. keep tryin kiddo, keep tryin

let me ask you this. how do we counter the phoenix and the lancer? you dont, all you can do is hope they are bad.

The Striker is the only ESRL that doesn't open the door to tactics that can't be countered. Such as NC mortar firing from behind cover or shield doors. And the VS all charging up, and instant gibbing one target without warning. In contrast the Striker gives you lock on warning, can be slowed down with Stealth armor, and countered entirely with Flares.

Secondly the Striker is the only one that can't be dumb fired so is useless against turrets/MAX. The TR rely on AV turrets more than the other factions just to achieve similar results.

In that case, would you not rather it became more like the engi rocket turret where the missiles are lead by the brains of cats to chase a laser pointer?

That would allow dumbfire, and get rid of the lock on mechanic. This type of shooting is already in game so it should not be hard to change it to (instead of going back to the PS1 version that would lock on tanks as long as you kept your laser on them).

My main gripe right now is how it is just a pre-nerf ani, and they nerfed the ani for a reason.

Currently in my ESF, the strikers will hit me from around cover and will ignore flairs ever so often. This is not a problem with Just the striker as all lock ons do this right now, but since it is a AA and AV weapon, a lot of TR take it so they can fight everything, and thus there are compleatly saturated on the field wile stacking with numbers much better than tanks or air can dream to.

Sadly the stryker is currently broken and some of the rounds will some how magically evade terrain or simply follow the aircraft path. Then there is another bug where I have been hit well after I have deployed flares by the entire payload. Plus any G2A launcher in the game is amazing at simply being an area denial weapon. So it may lack killing power but its very presence forces pilots to flee or die. But OP should have given actual reasons on why he feels that way other wise he just sounds childish.

Yes I would much prefer that. And suggested it multiple times on here, and the official forums when the Striker was still in development. The devs did not listen then, and I doubt they will listen now. Especially since they gave this exact kind of weapon to the NC MAX. Seems they want only NC to have these. Higby also said he thought it was interesting that the TR are gimped against MAX/Turrets but stronger against Air in one of those podcast things.

Tank pops smoke, ESF flares.. Striker useless for a time unlike Phoenix. Just tonight I shot at a Liberator and the lib did a sharp turn, the missile does a 90' turn and heads straight to the ground.

Also how can you have tactics with a 'lock on' ? You mean just get a whole squad of strikers?

IMO the striker is not op. It is a pain in the ass when there is a lot of them in one location though. This goes for all the faction specific launchers. A couple of nights ago me and my outfit were doing the same crap with our lancers and vortex maxes on amerish. The nc couldn't get one vehicle up to our outpost. In all honesty if they were to buff any of them I'd say maybe the range on the phoenix and that is all. They could maybe play around with the striker by making it active lock but that's all speculative if ppl would like it better that way.

I totally agree. The Striker is so bugged right now. The goes striaght through bull is the one that annoys me the most. The VS av weapon is also bugged to were if your being hit by one, you cant see it thus you cannot pin point were its coming from.

lol the striker is a very hit and miss weapon...

what I mean by that is it either locks on really well, sometimes too well given the 4 missile hit even with flares deployed or the flip side of the coin damn lock on gets interrupted by infantry running in front of the vehicle that's over 200m away forcing the lockon timer to reset, when theirs a mass of vehicles together it hops from target to target and you can't lock on until they separate.
It is a beast of a ESRL but so is the Lancer and Phoenix when properly utilized in numbers.
It has it's advantages, disadvantages and bugs.

When friendly Infantry runs in front of the lock I want a button that fires the damn thing anyway. Maybe after a while the friendlies will notice the piles of corpses in front of the barrel of my weapon and not stand there.
