The balance pass affects Bursters at extreme range, it is an attempt to mitigate the fact that Dual Bursters don't render for pilots beyond a certain distance, but can still be damaged by their flak. Sky Guards are getting a slight buff at range. Let's see if this plays out fairly on the battlefield before we all start crying DOOOOOOM!

Forsaken, we haven't even been able to try the patch out yet. Things have changed quite a bit and a lot more people have AA equipment nowadays.
Now, I never fly an aircraft to fight anything. My framerate is around 25 and it isn't smooth enough to effectively fly. I also remember how OP air was on release. Nonetheless, I'm getting a little tired of how easy it is to smack air to the ground with my bursters. I can't remember the last time where an air force did anything significant since the AA buffs. It would be refreshing to see them do something again. |

AA Burster MAX has been used as a griefing tool with its ridiculous range for months by individual players to farm experience and camp warpgates, etc. Giving players the ability to affect the gameplay of "flyboys" that may be nowhere near the ground, but for some reason, ground players feel they should affect the air drastically and give those players a hardship. This balance is welcomed and was needed. Not everything in the game should be catered to ground forces and yes, the "flyboys" do deserve some form of balanced game too so that their gaming experience is enjoyable. Does anyone know how much the Shemaghs will cost?

I hate feeding trolls but....
Busters who can pop in and out of doors should not the the best AA in the game. It's had the best range, best accuracy, best dmg (because of lockdown and zoe) and smallest target to hit. So you have to admit either the Skyguard needed a buff or the Burster needed a nerf, I think they did a good balance of both. Now considering air combat CAN'T EXIST over large fights, and it completely removes the pilot's choice to fight there, if you don't see this your going to SEEM like a single minded brat who can't stop whining. The most interesting part of the patch notes to me is Engi's being able to deconstruct mines I really like where there heads are at with this, it opens up to more options. It's kinda pointless right now since no one can see AV mines more then 20 feet away but it's a good start lol. Edit:

I thought we agreed they were now known as ROFLpods? I don't mind the change, it was on the way. Although the new MAX cost is insane. Now I can get back into my skyguard.
I eagerly await picking up the new MCG! Faction-coloured cloaked infils should be interesting. I await bugs on enemies seeing colours and oh my god the hackusations. Hope that's coded well New info on the squad pane will be good. I quite like this. Bet you the smurfs don't though. Those MAX nerfs
