Hey guys,
Got a lot of great feedback from my Esamir flyby video, so I did the same for Hossin, as well as a second video that focuses on the infantry perspective at Interlink Facilities. Hope you enjoy it and are looking forward to this stuff as much as I am! This is part 1/2 of my Hossin sneak peek videos, covering Hossin itself (well at least the subsection that we have access to at the moment) mostly from the air. I fly over all the currently available bases and give my opinion on them and the continent as a whole. I absolutely love it and for the very first time feel like I'm playing PlanetSide 1 with 10 years worth of better graphics and technology. Extremely excited for the future of the game! This is part 2/2 of my Hossin sneak peek videos, covering the Hurakan Interlink Facility from an infantry perspective (both LA and Infil). There was a handful of fighting even at 8am EST, so it isn't exactly an ideal situation, but I think we made the best of it. I'm really pumped about Hossin as I said in part 1, and even more excited about the Interlink Facilities. For the very first time I think I'm going to prefer fighting at a major base over a tower or large outpost, and I'm really thrilled at what they did with the expansive indoor combat areas that don't appear to lend themselves to chokepoints, bottlenecks, and meatgrinders like a lot of the current infantry areas do. Bravo! What do you guys think?! Thanks so much for the support as usual and be sure to check out the live stream every day over at http://itzmurda.com. |

The SCU room seems too open, in the sense that there are so many open hatches to enter or attack from. Looks like it would be a right pain to defend.
Looks good overall, some really nice new level design.

Great job with the videos, they came out excellent and your narrative was also well done. Thanks for the time and effort that went into these.
Hossin looks great; i love the feel of the continent and the new base designs look interesting and finally a change from the copy paste designing that has been the staple of SOEs work so far; i just hope the inside of the bases have some new flavor/character. The infantry fights at the dam, the tree house, and the new biolab should be epic. I must say though that Hossin appears like it will be a nightmare for tankers. With the crazy amount of AV options infantry already have, coupled with what looks like a never ending supply of trees to jump jet out of, hills to hide in, and minimal visibility, infantry will be able to ambush and destroy most tanks before they know what hit them. Having radar with you will be of the upmost importance but I still fear that tanks will be way to vulnerable on this continent. Also tankers will now have to worry 10 times as much about air and will be left defenseless against even just an average ESF or lib team. With all of the tree and hill cover, Aircraft will be able to fly through the trees and dominate tanks before they have a chance to see them or get a shot off. As a regular Vanguard driver, being able to line up an incoming ESF or lib from long range is currently my only personal defense against them and will be impossible on Hossin. Before anyone says I should always travel in a group with AA, I already do and understand that, however that doesn't mean I shouldn't ever have a chance to see the enemy before they LOLpod/rotary my tank to death, or to have an angle to take a shot or defend myself. |
