It certainly looks a bit alien for a TR gun. And assuming this is going to be the bold action class that keeps your eye in the scope for your follow-up shot, off balancing it by putting the magazine on the side doesn't seem like good gun design to me for such a supposedly accurate weapon.

I love it. Finally something that looks appropriate for a game set in the 29th century. A lot of art in this game feels very archaic, from the Vanguard to the Prowler to most of the TR arsenal.
I really hope the two new concepts hint at some sort of aesthetic upgrade for all Empires in the future, because when this thing gets released it will look way more high tec than anything in the TR arsenal. I also seem to recall T.Ray expressing interest in some sort of alternate default armor look for all the Empires in the far future, perhaps sometime next year, and all of this could be part of the plan. People are mentioning that it looks more VS than TR. Remember that the TR look is "refined and rounded", and it looks quite rounded to me. VS has more carapace and scales. a trade-off imo for sniping through the scope would simply be a longer bolt- action-pull-time. |
