Sadly this just confirms Smed's words are all hot air, what a clusterfuck after 3 weeks of no news and no content. Promises of due care and improved performance shattered in one small hotfix.

This.

This patch is clearly not the end of the game. Everyone's not going to up and jump ship over this one patch (provided it gets fixed), but it's just one more small scraping away of SOE's credibility.

The game is completely fucked up!
My outfit was attacking a bio lab and after 5 minutes there was about 300+ grenades on the air without exploding, everyone FPS was lower then 1.
There is a warpgate without shields!
Liberators can´t do shit!
The worst part is: "I am one of the people that pre-ordered Rome 2".
Yeah, Rome 2 was fucked up, but it is a new game, not one that was working and now it isn´t!

yeah 11/9 should be called "THE HOTFIX the first". and 12/9 "THE HOTFIX the second"..... IS this going to be like the french revolution? will we get to "THE HOTFIX the sixteenth"? (he was the really crazy one)... and will heads roll?

on a more serious note- personally I didn't take it harsh- so one evening didn't play (spent some time with the wife, refreshing change ).

actually, the PPA effect gave me a awesome idea for a support weapon. (imagine that thing on a gal, but with no damage... awesome cover abilities)

Nothing mentioned about the warpgates being fixed either.

If they havn't fixed AoE then it's a big farcical mess lol. Was awful yesterday finding sundies and not being able to kill shit cos my flash fury nades were exploding with roses and tickling the enemies nostrils.... whilst they shot at me with lmgs, rockets etc..

i think some things are soo basic, they are embarrassed to even mention them.

Do you see anymore vanu standing where only you TR buddy should be?
if the answer is no, the issue was probably fixed.

I will miss that one vanu who parked his sundi inside the WP and played techno music on proxi.

Yea I played about a hour lastnight with the new patch, frame reate dropped to 30, I was on esimar, at a tower trying to take it, there was debre everywere and grenades, also as squad leader you can only put down one spawn beacon, no splash damage registering. It was funny as hell, I actually had a little fun with the guys lastnight.

splash damage got fixed pretty early this morning or late last night. the warpgate problem was really just the restricted area outside the bubble. no one was getting shot in a warpgate or bringing enemy vehicles inside, but they were able to hack the AA just outside at times. lock on indication has also returned to normal, and debris seems to derender normally.

the worst of it has passed, it seems.

Heh my friend can't even load the game without it crashing about 2 seconds after it loading the spawn at warpgate, and I can play for about 2 minutes before mine crashes.

Grrr come on now, I really wanna love this game but I can't even play it.

Re: A wild Hotfix appears 9/11

I think they fixed the crashing bug with a small client update not long ago.

Did notice that splash dmg was still penetrating shields.
So I'd assume they just reverted it back the way it was because the Hotfix took away ALL splash dmg.
