Station Username/Handle

Is there any word of the SOE allowing us to change these? I know they dont allow it now (I wish they did, I would even use SC or something like that to do it). I made my first PS2 character on 05/22/13, and since then have made several other characters. I resent the fact that SOE wont let me change my station name. I dont understand, if a station handle/username is available, why SOE doesnt allow account holders to edit their station name. Any thoughts or rumors on this subject?

While your in game names may be available your station account opperates across every soe game so that's why you can't change it and its been like that for the last 8 years I've had a station account

I'm not sure from the OP's post what he's trying to accomplish. What would altering your station name do for your Planetside 2 characters? Can you not access your original characters for some reason and you would like to? May be an issue that CS can help with.

As stated, the station name is the same across all SOE's games and I've had a station account since May 2000. I don't believe we we have ever been allowed to change it.

Edit: Looking at the date again, then a cracter created too far back would have been during Tech Test/Beta Test and probably wiped, but again, not sure exactly what is being asked.

Once your pick your station name, that's pretty much it. On the bright side you can create a new station account for free.

I like having my accounts under the same name and when I decided to change my gamer handle a little while back, I also changed my login ID's with any account connected to that handle. Whether you understand my motive or not is unimportant. Thanks to everyone for answering my question. It would be nice to change my station handle (considering Planetside is the only SOE game I play) but its ok that I cant, Im not thaaat OCD

It used to be a greifing issue, your station name was your forum name, you couldn't change it so you couldn't be a numpty and then vanish.
