indeed you are very limited. as for hamma's answer, i dont agree. Its a game yes, but it doesnt meen that it should be any easyer.

T2's FM was easy enough already, now i think PS's FM is easyer still. and dont tell me that t2's FM was a sim. it was arcadish. For me, the t2's fm would have been better for this game, much less limited, optiion to do some nice manoevers.

Now, if you want to shake your ennemy, you cant do too much. You turn as fast as you can and you can add some weired altitude change so that his aim is throwned off. I did a few fights so far and mostly when i was in a turnfight, the one that could turn faster could aim the guy. Else the guy that turns slower just stops and hold position usualy you can turn faster that way cuz ur ennemy will be farther away from you. So you cant really stay on someone's 6 if they have 2 different vehicles. If its 2 reavers tho then well, endless turning or if the other guy does something screwy, you can gain back on him....

Indeed ive been very deceived by the FM. Other parts of the game compensate for it tho, the game is good. Altho it would have been so much better with a better FM.

Right now the way i see it for pilots, Galaxy for example, Is memorizing most of the landing spots where you can land the thing. ex: in bases. You will know where you can land and where you cant. Other stuff to quickly learn is the size of your ship, you hit some trees at first, after that, all is fine.

So, for me, the learning curve for the galaxy was very small, 2 days at most was enough for me to know pretty much all the stuff. There is defenate need to improve this but well anyway, most of the time, once im done with unloading my troops, i just leave the ship there and go with them. But unfortunatly thats not what i had in mind at first. I expected to stay in the ship and do other stuff but there is no need to do that.

Escorts are useful yes, but even that its easyer to gun ppl down in a rever than it was in t2's shrikes. Darn in t2 i could chew up a jugger pretty quickly if he didnt saw me. In PS, get out of my way while you still can.

I sincerly hope there will be more tweaking to be done to the FM, also i dont think joystick support is in yet (well it doesnt work on my end) so i wonder how it will be implemented.
