ok this is just a funny statment to go along with the what happens if the pilot of a galaxies gets disconnect form the game of just bails and leaves you with no pilot. At a very high altitude
ok if this happens you are pretty much doomed as far as we know so far. so why not back the buggy out and go sky diving with the buggy or the tank and have so fun and a few laughs.
hum i wonder if a galaxie does a low skim over the ground very fast and you back up out of it without landing. it could be used for fast insertions.

ok remember this is just fun stuff so please dont flame me or anything.

If your pilot goes linkdead, then the Galaxy will auto-pilot down to the ground nearby and let you all disembark.
If you don't want to wait that long (or if the auto-pilot is taking you somewhere particularly hostile), then you can bail out of the vehicle at any time (yes...including the buggy) and use the kinetic dampeners to hit the ground softly.
