why does everyone suck so much?

Is it the people or something about forums that makes people such assholes? Every forum I go to the smallest slight can ignite a flame war. Do people really take communication with people they don't know and probably never will so seriously? C'mon you flaming ******* out there, lighten up. Who gives a fuck if the guy on the other side of the modem thinks you have a tiny dick? You should be secure enough by age 15 that noone's insults to you can change your outward mood, ESPECIALLY if it is not even in person.
It is also sad that moderators say "We will tolerate no flaming here" but do it rampantly themselves, saying "oh, I'm not flaming, I'm expressing an opinion." Sonsabitches.

btw, this is a rant. I'm not insulting anyone. I am saying that you should have enough self control and security to control yourself over petty slights and trivial issues online.
