That's when you RMA it.
I have never, EVER had a RMA request refused - even when the fault isn't clearly attributable. When I got a bad mobo (it actually had a nice crack in it, just below the AGP slot) from Newegg, not only did they send me a new one via one-day air, they also gave me $100 store credit.

Exactly. I give props to you "l33t PC builders" but no matter how "l33t" your asses are.. hardware CAN become corrupt and hardware CAN burn out.
I sincerely doubt that if your video card dies 4 years down the line, they're going to be jumping to send you a new one. Hardware rarely just stops working (within the desired lifespan of it) if you treat it with care - if you're looking for tips on how to prolong hardware life, I can post some stuff that will help.

Alienware actually takes pride in making quality computers. They're built by gamers themselves, optimized by gamers.
Don't assume that this exact set of statements doesn't apply to homebuilt comps as well.
