Rant inside.

Now before we begin two things. 1- It is to be noted i'm pissed. 2- It is also to be noted that this may or may not be considered spam but some but read again, it has for a purpose to spark discussion about the following subject and has a lot more depth to it than some posts/polls in the lounge. Also be warned that some of the following items might not be clear to people who have never played RTCW : Enemy Territory.

And now Dio's first public rant, titled : "Now i remember why i hate the FPS crowd."


"Now i remember why i hate the FPS crowd."

Picture this, you're an undercover agent, you are amidst artillery strikes, grenades exploding and bullets zooming by. You fire left, fire right, you slaughtered countless soldiers of the formidable but inferior Allied troops. You snipe them as they attempt to cross the beach and destroy the all important seawall battery cannon. You destroy their weakly constructed assault ramps countless times. You are indeed, kicking ass. You're among the top of your squad, you are their only good spy and undercover agent. Yes you are the top covert ops in your Axis team on a server of Enemy territory. It's great until....

Until the FPS attitude kicks in. You (politely) state that the Allies have managed to get the forward bunker and you need help, only 3, 4 tops soldiers are attempting to push the Allies back to the beach. You state after a few deaths that it's too late, the Allies have secured it and all is lost, suddendly a member of the server's clan speaks. "Please keep your ignorance to yourself" What? Did he actually just say that ? You respond "Jeez sorry for speaking my mind." having no fear of this kid. A few mins later you are indeed overrun and lose the match.

You : So still think i'm ignorant ?
Kid : Yes
You : Funny though how i was right huh ?
Kid : Funny how i have ref password.
-next match begins-
Kid : Go ahead, abuse your power to kick me just because i was right, i won't be mad. (which was true if he didn't do the following)

At this point the Allies have repaired the tank and are moving towards the bank. You ask "Can the engies build all the D and mine the tank path thank " Once again the young boy responds "Youre an idiot, we need to defend the tank" Odd, you were the only guy other than said kid to defend the tank a few mins ago. "That's it i'm muting you." Nah he's kidding, he wouldn't be that much of a prick would he ? He begin to rant about how people (meaning you according to him) only build all the defense to get Xp and don't care about the team's well being and other shit like this. You now get pissed, you're not even an engineer, you're a covert ops, you're job is simply to assist the others, you decided to respond. You type in "If you mean me i was the only one defending the tank with you." .... nothing shows up.... again "I was the only guy defending with you, now that the tank is up we need to mine the path to keep it down." .... again nothing. You proceed to initiate a Un-mute vote for you, it fails. After a few mins (hoping he would realize his error and un-mute you if you behave which you have been doing since the begining) you begin another vote, at this point the prick responds "Ha it won't pass and you won't get a chance to start another one." at this point you quit and decide to cool off and find another server, as you leave you notice the server you were just on is no longer there, apprently the kid banned you from his precious clan server, all this because his ego didn't like it that you were right.

So let this be a lesson kids, if you play an FPS there will be many a jerks like this Cornfed from the =JC= (=Just cause=) clan who cannot act mature, they can't have a civilized and fair conversation, if he can bash you while you can't say a word he's happy, otherwise you won't be allowed to speak to him, you might make the others realize he's only 15 and doesn't know a thing about tactics and strategy.
