Serious Problems with the Deliverer

I just got the deliverer last night and I have a big problem. How come, when a MAGrider goes by you and it's 5 feet away you die, but when I run somebody over in my deliverer I just go over them and they don't die?

Last night I ran over the same person 3 times! It should KILL them! If a bus ran you over I don't think you'd live to tell us about it.
