Well, I had the chance to sit in the #6 Blue Angels F-18 Hornet my last year in the Navy. I was 6'3" and I barely fit inside the aircraft. The Blue Angels fly with virtually no avionics on board; they rip out all the fire control radar and associated hardware too. They only have basic Nav and Radio to get from Point A to B. The height rule is only for fighters. You can be 6'5" and still be a pilot. The military still needs transports and support planes as well. There is no shame in not being a fighter jock. Most ppl wash out of ACM training anyway.
