Do you think that there will be some what of a delay at extreamly long distances and does the damage of the bullet decrease as the distance increases?
A realistic sniper rifle from about 500 yards hits almost instantly in respect to human perception, but at 3500 yards it takes a little bit longer and the bullet slows down quite a bit and eventually starts tumbling end over end, but you would think with this being far off into the future they would develop some technologies that allow for projectile weapons to go much faster and fly straighter, such as ionizing the air in front of the bullet to allow for zero friction.
