new idea for battle rank benefits

My friend and I were discussing the benefits of high battle rank(cert points, cooler looking armor) and we decided it doesn't do enough. After a bit of thought, we decided that it would be cool if every 5 battle ranks you would get a new armor slot to use. Armor slots could be used for things like extra armor, artificial gills, etc. Of course, different armor types would have a maximum amount of slots. Opinions?
