Should I get back into Planetside?

I played planetside for about 3 months after release. I quit becuase of low pc specs, dropping population, and bugs. I still keep up in the news and it seems its running alot smoother now with all the new things implemented and joining of servers. My computer is also upgraded too. So do you think it is worth it to get back into the game? If so is Core Combat worth the money? Thanks for any input
