I prolly wouldn't hit a girl even if there was a threat. I've always believed that to be true. Most of women are small enough to just hold down and wait for whoever you can to come and help you make her calm down or what not.
About Aztecs post... I'd say you could press charges on her couldn't you? She was not provoked at all...so therefore, there was no reason and you could press charges. Hopefully you could...the legal system is dumb these days.
