Good news for SOE is that there are few games that were supposed to be "big" but crashed and died in a spectacular ball of flame. Competition is getting fierce and some games are going to croak. Planetside holds a unique place in that its the only FPS of its scale. That will hold it...unless another company decides to jump in. And I agree, a serious lack of advertising hasn't helped much. One of the reasons for expansions alone is to generate "advertising" and keep the base from jumping ship. They need to start creating a buzz about thier next expansion right after the holiday season to get people inerested and speculating again. Perhaps even have a way for the Playstation 3 to have access (Planetside comes with the console or something).
