To be honest, things seem much more organized now than they were when I stopped playing. I haven't yet had a problem getting a squad and squads in general seem to operate together more. Perhaps I've been lucky in that regard.

I think not having uber-hackers lording it over the servers is a big contributor. "Wow, now that I can't just snipe people from Sanctuary, I guess I have to grudgingly use teamwork"
