Vehicle Explosion Splash Damage

What do people think of an area of affect splash damage that occurs when a vehicle explodes? One could make use of this by attaching a bunch of C4--boomers--to a vehicle that is then activated by the vehicle explosion damage. It could make for some nice suicide runs. You could also use it as a last ditch attempt to kill that pesky infantryman who has been trolling your tank. Finally, it just makes the game feel more like a real combat environment; put blankly, vehicle explosions contain shrapnel and heat, they hurt. (Also, not sure if this is already in the game).
