Meteors randomly spawn with resource bonus to the faction who captures it.

Greetings! First post, here.

This is taken from my post at /r/planetside and I thought it would get some well-deserved attention here.

If you can't read that:

First post says "Random meteors that spawn on the border hexes of each empire's estate. The meteors contain a one time bonus of resources when captured."

Second post says "You could justify them being on the border hexes by saying something like "The empire's territory produces invisible nanite fields similar to magnetic fields, which are strongest at the geological centers of each empire's territory. These nanite fields produce a force on the meteors that push it one direction or another."
Although with this explanation, it would seem logical that the nanite fields would push the meteors to the border hexes IF the two empires' territories are equal in size. If one is larger, it would push the meteor into the territory of the smaller empire, which could balance out the game a bit.
EDIT: And it would be pretty SWEET to send in a strike team behind enemy lines with a galaxy to capture a meteor."
