How exactly is this implemented without creating mass confusion for players? Are the channels segregated per tile? So if I cross the border of one base to a different contestable piece my "main" voice channel auto switches?
Also, the videos I have watched said that when you're in a vehicle with someone, you're automatically placed in a voice channel with them. Does this just create some kind of new tab, like a chat box? Am I able to switch between speaking with my vehicle-mates and my other team members that might be fighting around us?
Also, what about when an outfit plans an assault on a base? Surely they will have their own chat channel, but will they be able to also speak to the other members of their faction that aren't in their outfit so that they can make good use of the less-organized, non-outfitted players?
If it is possible to switch, does anyone know if the process is seamless and easy to do mid-combat some how?
For example, lets say I am leading a flight squadron to a base. I want to be able to co-ordinate with my pilots/gunships/galaxies who would be in my outfit/group and with other team members that are on the ground and not part of my group. It'd be nice to let them know when the gunships are making a pass and where, so they can take appropriate cover and not get caught in friendly fire.
