So.. Here's a question or three for ya.
I'm actually quite a fan of the VOIP system in-game. The system in place for PS1 was quite literally Hell. Half the time you got nothing but static, yet you could be rocking Turtle Beach's latest baby that gave flawless audio input in any other situation.
The only time that it gets a bit tedious or difficult is when massive groups are coordinating in Command chat, while my whole outfit is hogging squad/platoon chat. In short, I'm
content with this system,
I just wish we could selectively listen in to certain channels.
If you don't use in-game VOIP, what service do you use? TS? Ventrilo? Some other 3rd party app that no one knows about?
And if neither of those apply to you..
Why don't you use VOIP in-game?
And finally..
What do you guys think could be done to the
current VOIP system to help improve it? I've only ever seen issues that are client-side. Also, the server seems to keep it up quite well-the only problems I've had are when I (or the other person) had 1-5 FPS on average or had bad connectivity.
Fire away.
