So, I think the default knife mechanics are kind of boring. I decide to take a look at the way PS1 did the knife, and also BF3(plsdonthitme), as I think those two games made the knife a bit more fun to use (except for BF3s lock on animations).
So here are some ideas to improve knife mechanics.
- Default knifing with weapon drawn: two hits, slow recovery time
- Equipped knife: two hits, fast recovery time, faster hits
- Turning on your knife like in PS1: very loud, people can hear you coming, but you are able to OHK, recovery time will be between having the weapon drawn and when it's equipped
The only problem I guess is that SOE didn't visually design the knifes to have a "turn on" mechanic

It feels to me like they had no intention to make them the energy-fused weapons like they were in PS1
The chain on the chain-blade doesn't go around it
The button to activate the mag-cutter is missing
And the forceblade is missing it's energy bar
But besides that... what does everyone think?
