Vanu is disadvantages to ohers factions

I've been playing as the Vanu, and the faction is serious diadvantaged to the other factions. There guns suck and do little damage and their MAXX's can't do much against other faction maxxs. Being able to stafe left and right don't help much when the other factions have homing missiles. I feel like abandoing my level 6 vanu character and trying the other factions.
You can avoid all the enemies fire but that don't help because they can just stand there and fire at you, and you'll still lose. I am no newbie at gaming. I play Mohaa and Quake regularly and almost always come first. I am going to give the game one more try with another faction. If anyone else feels the same way. Post a reply.
