A 2.8 Ghz P4 with 1gig DDRAM, 120 gig HD, and a Radeon 9700 Pro. Cost me almost exactly 2,000 dollars. Sweet system right?
Well, some of you may say I overpayed and you could build the same PC for $800 less, blah, blah, blah. First of all, good for you. I cant. Second of all, i Alienware tech support. Not only did those guys give me a machine thats compltely optimized for the ultimate gaming experience, they dont take no shit when I dont get that ultimate gaming experience. My machine was having some serious issues with high end programs after 7 months of being the perfect computer. Something was fuked. I codnt play high end games for more than 2-10 minutes before my PC hardlocked!! So I called up techsupport today and they walked me through drivers (i had all the newest ones). Then they talked me through resetting and cleaning my video card. That didnt work. Then they talked me through checking my 4 sticks of DDRAM memory (256mg a peice). Thats didnt work. So then they offered to send me a free replacement video card. I told them i wasnt sure it would fix the problem. Then they offered to have the PC sent to them free of charge. I told them i was wary of being away from my PC for so 2 weeks (which is BS cause i have 2 other 'decent' CPUs). So guess what? Next monday they are sending a guy to my house out in the middle of the fucking eastern shore of maryland (ass end of nowhere) to replace my Radeon 9700 and ALL my DDRAM memory sticks... FREE. If that doesnt work, the tech support guy is also bringing another area 51 CPU with the same specs as mine. I get it for free if he cant fix it. I Alienware!!! |
