Best way to rack up points

Okay, i'm on the official site's Leaderboard, and I see these people with points up in the hundred thousands and on up. How do they do that? Is there some tactic I'm missing, or do they just play for like 6 hours a day? How do you rack up the big points
(cheap tactics suggestions welcome

)

I'm NC, use the Phoenix and snipe a lot, and can hold my own in a fight. I'm br8.0 and cr0.9.
