Starting questions (warning: newbie content)

I actually don't have planetside, but I will as soon as I upgrade my computer. But, I would like to ask some questions for future reference.

In your opinion, I would like to know which specialization in planetside is the hardest to learn/master, which specialization is on average over the servers the most needed/there is the least of, and if there is any specialization that helps the most when trying to be a commander.

When I say specialization, I mean like, light/heavy infantry, pilot, tank, recon, or whatever combination of Certifications you can think of.

Thank you in advance for your help, and I hope I have everything straight, because I've never actually played PS, so I'm bound to make some mistakes in what I talk about.
