I think they should stick with the book/comic storyline. The Pred's connsider humans and the aliens among some of the few species worth hunting In fact occasionaly they will "harvest" allien queens from their hives and keep them in storage while they hunt out the hive for sport, thend rop them on another planet and repeat the process. Supposedly they dont do this to intelligent species because eventualy they themselves might be worth huntable. Also the preds have been around a long time, they were on ancient earth (the comics hint they could have been the inspiration for more then a few oriental cultures visions of demons). By their own rules they only hunt with tech on a similar level to their prey. They arnt actualy sposed to go for the kill while cloaked and a few other things.
